Rolled oats are the basis of these biscuits just for cats. They have no preservatives or artificial ingredients – providing you make your own stock.
Miss Kitty’s oat biscuits
Note that your biscuits can be chicken, beef or tuna flavoured. If you choose tuna, you could substitute the liquid in a can of water-packed tuna instead of oil; if the liquid doesn’t amount to 120ml, just thin it with tap water.
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups (150g) rolled oats
- 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup (50g) plain flour
- 1/2 cup (125ml) chicken or beef stock, or oil or water from canned tuna
Cooking Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix all ingredients into a dough.
2. Dust your hands with flour and shape dough into 1cm-thick, round biscuits. Put the biscuits on a greased baking tray.
3. Bake for 30 minutes or until the biscuits are lightly browned, then cool for about 30 minutes on a cooling rack. Once cool, break them into bite-sized pieces for your cat.
