Tips for beating hair loss

You might think that hair loss is something that can’t be beaten; it’s just something that happens, either because of genetics, environment, medication, or perhaps an illness.

Once your hair is gone, it’s gone, and there is no getting around it.

You might think that, but it’s not quite accurate. There are ways to beat hair loss, and although some might involve a lifestyle change or at least a change of habit, it’s certainly possible to do. Read on to find out how to beat hair loss and protect your hair.

Get help

In some cases, the best thing you can do if you want to beat hair loss is to get help and advice from the HS Hair Clinic. These experts will be able to help you understand why you’re losing your hair, and they will be able to help you when it comes to beating hair loss – a hair transplant could be the answer. When you have a hair transplant, your hair loss will no longer be a concern, and you can get back to your normal life, although you will need to ensure you take care of your transplanted hair in the right way. Again, the clinic will help you with this. It can be upsetting to find you are losing your hair, and it can cause some people to lose confidence in themselves. This is why it’s always wise to speak to people who understand and who can come up with a solution.

Change your hair products

Did you know that it could be the hair products you’re using that are contributing to your hair loss? Ironically, although you’ll be using many of these items to keep your hair looking good, they might actually be having the opposite effect and be causing you to lose your hair. This is due to the chemicals used to make these products which become trapped in the hair follicles. When this happens, hair can’t grow, and the hair you have will fall out. The best thing to do is to use natural products where you possibly can – the fewer chemicals you put on your hair, the better, and the less likely it will be to fall out.

Avoid hot showers

Heat is a disaster for hair health, and although you might initially think of hairdryers and straighteners or curlers when you think of how much heat is usually applied to your hair, it could be something else that’s causing the damage; it could be the temperature of your shower. The hotter the water in your shower, the more damage you are doing to your hair because the follicles will become inflamed, leading to more hair loss. Not only that, but the heat can dry out your hair, making it very brittle. As well as all this, the hot water will strip your hair of the essential natural oils it produces, which leaves it vulnerable to damage. Turn down the temperature of your shower by a couple of degrees, and you should see a big difference in how much hair you’re losing. Remember, your hairdryer and other items are also a problem, so use them as little as possible.
