7 Star Wars gift ideas that are truly out of this world

7 Star Wars gift ideas that are truly out of this world

These Star Wars gift ideas are guaranteed to transport your loved one to their favourite adventure a long time ago in a galaxy far far away

This essential vinyl record, Music From the Star Wars Saga, £36.23

Music from the Star Wars saga the essential collection vinyl record

From the heart-swelling opener “Star Wars Main Title” to the bittersweet odyssey that is “Yoda’s Theme”, this double LP compiles some of the most iconic compositions from across the first eight Star Wars episodes.

Each song has been re-recorded to crisp perfection by Robert Ziegler, alongside the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and members of the Slovak Philharmonic Choir, to celebrate John Williams’ beloved fantastical soundscapes.

Encouraging review:

This turned out great! We gave it as a gift and our friend loved it!

This visually arresting The Mandalorian—On The Run poster, £8.50

Star Wars Mandalorian "this is the way" on the run poster gift idea

Say it with us—”This is the way.” This striking poster shows Pedro Pascal’s character, the eponymous Mandalorian, traversing a vast desert vista with baby Yoda (we all know it’s baby Yoda, right?) in his arms. The Mandalorian’s paternal themes and penchant for action are portrayed here perfectly in equal measure.

Encouraging review:

This poster is beautiful and had fast delivery!

This futuristic 3D optical illusion Star Wars night lamp, £14.99

Star Wars holographic 3D lamp gift idea

Finally, we can now enjoy the extremely sci-fi holographic technology that fills the Star Wars saga in real life. This 3D optical illusion lamp switches between three modes—so you can summon R2D2, the Death Star, or the Millennium Falcon into your home, depending on your preference—and 16 colours.

The way that it works is by illuminating a 2D image on a laser-engraved acrylic panel, which appears 3D with a small trick of the eye. The lamp is dimmable, and can be powered by three AA batteries or a USB port.

Encouraging review:

Got this as a Christmas present and birthday present! Both dad and boyfriend LOVED! Very easy to put together, will need batteries! Very snazzy too, I don’t even like Star Wars and I’ll admit that it’s cool!

This sleek Darth Vader Bluetooth speaker, £150.00

Darth Vader Bluetooth wireless speaker

Ironically for a villain whose vocal cords have been sabotaged by his Jedi master and mentor, Darth Vader makes a surprisingly effective Bluetooth speaker. This award-winning piece of audio kit features an impressive bass capability with the subwoofer built in, and can also be paired with another audio device.

Plus, when you switch your Darth Vader on, its start-up tone is his iconic laboured breathing, plus the eyes glow red—because, obviously.

Encouraging review:

This is an amazing item! It looks fantastic, and it functions as a high-quality speaker system. It's certainly well made, with good production values. And it comes nicely packaged.

If you're a Star Wars fan, and you fancy a great looking Darth Vader piece to display—which works as a Bluetooth wireless audio system—then I highly recommend this product. It has a deluxe feel to it, and will likely be difficult to purchase in the not too distant future.

This nostalgic Star Wars Death Star blueprint poster, £21.83

Star Wars Death Star blueprint poster

In our opinion, no Star Wars fanatic’s home is complete without this Death Star blueprint. Those same plans that kickstarted the rebellion’s attack on the Empire’s most lethal weapon—and gave Rogue One its exhilarating final mission—can now be yours.

At 61 x 91.5cm, this poster is ideally sized to be a major feature on your office or living room wall.

The hobbyist’s LEGO Millennium Falcon construction kit, £149.99

Star Wars LEGO Millennium Falcon model

Thank you LEGO for giving us a way to recreate everyone’s favourite scrappy spacecraft, the Millennium Falcon. This construction kit comes with all the dressings, including rotating gun turrets, spring-loaded shooters and an opening cockpit, plus indoor extras like the Dejarik hologame table and repair tools.

Figurines of Finn, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, C3PO, R2D2, D-O and Boolio minifigures complete the set.

There are 1,351 pieces in total, which together create a model that sits at 14cm high, 44cm long and 32cm wide.

Encouraging review:

Made our sons Christmas! A day and a half with some breaks, it was made. He really enjoyed the build and said it was the best thing he’s had for Christmas. Excellent Lego quality.

This adorable The Mandalorian Grogu plush toy, £23.00

Star Wars Mandalorian plush soft toy Grogu

For the young, budding Star Wars fan in your life, this Grogu (*cough* baby Yoda *cough*) plush toy is the ideal cuddly gift. Made with soft touch polyester, and detailed embroidery that brings Grogu’s sweet, innocent expression to life, your little intergalactic voyager will find it difficult to put their new cosmic companion down.

This plush toy is suitable for all ages, and hand wash only.

Encouraging review:

This was bought for a friend’s child, who already had a mechanical Yoda, however their mother said the child had asked for one to take to bed. Feedback from the mother was that the item is lovely and cuddly and the child has taken to bed with them ever since they received it.
