Whatever it is that you may stuff your camping bag with, a good knife is an unavoidable tool. From hunting to trekking, an avid camper knows the versatility and importance of a tough blade. Here are some qualities to look for in your next camping companion

Although not a multi-tool, a good knife often comes with a smooth blade that is designed to last and can be used in various situations.

1. Sharpness 

A sharp blade comes in handy for different campsite activities, such as cutting rope, sticks for shelter or fire, skinning your hunt and miscellaneous tasks. A good hard-steel blade holds the sharp edge well but needs regular maintenance to resist corrosion.
