Bodies like this are just as important for making casinos what they are today too! So, who are the leaders of our industry today, you ask? Keep on reading to find out more.
Playtech: The biggest game supplier online
Starting off with one of the giants within the industry, Playtech is a name that everyone knows too well. Why? Because they have amassed a literal empire where everywhere you go, everything you see is a manifestation of excellence. Many games come from inspiration of their own wit, where others can be associated with the movie and TV culture in which they are heavily connected to.
Having been around since the year 1999, they have managed to perfect their trade with the utmost superiority, making their original company origins of Estonia, every proud indeed. Their game highlights include huge titles such as Ages of Gods and movie compilations, like the Batman series for example. Within 2020’s first quarter, they amassed €117 million in profits, so it makes complete sense how these guys are the boss in the business.
Microgaming: The first casino software
We all know that different developers contribute to the industry differently and Microgaming was the feet to walk forward into the future. They are the most resilient and long-standing company in the business at the moment currently, due to being first launched within the early 1990’s. They were the ones who manifested the first online casino software that we see that allowed online casinos to happen! We owe our gaming love to these guys. They also introduced the concept of slots to the business too, which is completely insane if we may say so ourselves.
The biggest title they have to speak for themselves currently, is the Mega Moolah title, which is one of the world’s largest progressive jackpot in the business today. Yet they always seem to push for the headlines in every creation that they contribute to the gambling community, so they had to get a place within this list, at all costs.
IGT: Great slot selections
International Game Technology has over 12,000 employees globally, and counting. They are of course one of the biggest developers within the iGaming industry and provide their slot games to mostly every casino that is out there at the moment. Some of the biggest slot games that they have unleashed on the market, you will have heard of, includes Cleopatra, DaVinci Diamonds and Wolf Run.
Due to such a huge employee base, IGT are actually based globally and have offices in most major capitals of the world, including Rome, London, Vegas and so many more. They are growing dramatically and evolving. The figures that they brought to speak for themselves at the end of the quarter, showed that share values have increased and their investment in the American sports betting market has worked out very, very well for them. This company will thrive for much longer into the future!
NetEnt is expanding its horizons
NetEnt is very much expanding its presence across the globe. They have been around since the late 1990’s, meaning they have managed to create over 200 titles alone for their online gambling portfolio. Big game titles are giants like Gonzo’s quest, which has been developed further by another icon in gaming Red Tiger Gaming. Together they have managed to create a Megaways slot of the famous classic, how exciting! Other games that need no introductions include Reel Rush and Dead or Alive.
NetEnt did also buy Red Tiger Gaming, for $186.1 million dollars, which was why NetEnt has used this purchase to their advantage of expansion across the regions. It was a very strategic move that will surely progress their reputation beyond some of the other names we have mentioned within this list, who knows? But one thing is clear, they are not slowing down their rate of progress anytime soon.
