Get The Look: Thandie Newton
A perfect low-key festive look, a gold blouse works well to liven up a traditional pencil skirt. We selected ours from Marks and Spencer (£27.50)—with a slip underneath, the sheeny, high-necked fabric offers just the right amount of glitter.
Accessories are key to this look. A spotted pair of tights (H&M, £6.99) and statement bejewelled ring (Ernest Jones, £225) add playfulness whilst chandelier earrings (H&M, £5.99) and Bobbi Brown Lipstick (£24) balance the look with timeless elegance.

A blouse and trouser combination may not seem the most exciting, but it’s an iconic silhouette for a reason.
A dainty print blouse is flattering on all body types, particularly in a feminine print such as this number from The Edinburgh Woolen Mill (£18). Pair with a soft grey trouser (Bon Marche, £18) that will provide a gentler contrast than black.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Newton look without a sky-high heel (Aquazurra, £620) and some gold accents—we love the delicate uniqueness of the Links of London ring (£104) and Monica Vinader bracelet (£225) that both work day to night.
The pursuit of print
Something about Thandie Newton’s deft touch with dressing means that no matter what prints she pairs together, they somehow work in harmony.
Our take on her clashing look relies on a more traditional trope of two clear prints—the leopard and the chevron. This New Look coat (£79.99) is a staple of winter, whilst the Zara dress (£49.99) would look great as a New Year party frock.
Pair with matchy-matchy heels (Pretty Little Thing, £25) and earrings (ASOS, £8) but don’t be afraid to be practical too—what better way to hold all your daily essentials than with a classic backpack?

Pink and Green should never be seen…unless you know how to pair it. Acid brights are key this season as part of the 80s tren and work well when teamed with a more modest silhoutte.
Whilst we adore Thandie’s Ankara blouse and taffeta skirt, we have transposed it for daytime wear with this Zara blouse (£39.99) and River Island skirt (£20), the pretty fishtail adding a touch of modernity to the look.
A further clash comes courtesy of a leopard print clutch (Isabella Oliver, £74) and shiny red shoes (Debenhams, £37), held back just enough by a nude lip (Kate Moss for Rimmel, £3.99)

On days where you just don’t feel like dressing up, Thandie’s airport look shows that you can still appear put together.
Slogan t-shirts (Topshop, £16.99) paired with a sporty cardigan (Mango, £29.99) are on trend while comfortable, dressed up slightly by tight-fitting jeans (River Island, £40) and Ray-Ban shades (£78).
