These pieces of relationship advice need to vanish forever! They serve more to confuse than make things go smoothly. We scoured the internet to find these amazing quotes to counter mind games, making them jealous and hard-to-get.
1. Play hard to get
"If a man gets turned off because I text him saying 'thanks for a fun night' then I know he is not the one for me."
2. Go to the cinema for a date
"It's a rubbish idea. You can't see or talk to each other for over two hours and it's expensive, especially if you get snacks. Plus, you don't really find out anything about each other."
3. Find someone who treats you like a queen
"No. Find someone who treats you like a human being, one with flaws, that they love.
You shouldn't expect a fairytale because all those stories end when the courtship is over. Love is what remains when that new relationship passion is gone."
4. With the right person, it shouldn't be hard
"Sometimes relationships are hard! Sometimes it's because of one partner going through something, sometimes it's both people, sometimes it's up and sometimes it's down. With anybody. It gets hard, and that's okay.
It's wanting to work through the difficult parts with your partner that makes a long, loving relationship."
5. Don't go to bed angry
"I'm sorry, but it does neither party any good to still be up at 4am rehashing the same things over and over again.
Just take time out, sleep on it and you will (hopefully) wake up in a better frame of mind"
6. Play mind games
"Any sort of game-playing is a bad thing. Be honest, always."
7. Make them jealous
"I've seen people make terrible decisions by following this one."
8. Just go out to bars and talk to people
"I don't go to bars. The only people I would meet at bars are people I wouldn't want to meet at all."
9. Just wait and it will happen
"Rubbish. I waited for three and a half years and got nowhere, then I put a little effort into it and now I have a great girlfriend."
10. Just go with the flow
"No no no no no, you have to make the flow.”
