Do you dream of winning the lottery?

Partnership Promotion was conceived when founder Chris Holbrook stumbled upon the term “postcode lottery” and set about devising a free, online alternative to paid lotteries using postcodes rather than arbitrary numbers.

It offers you the chance to enter a free daily draw when you register to the site with your postcode and email address. That’s all. No payment is required to participate and they never sell data, so your email is safe. All you’ll get is an email reminding you each day to check the site to see if you’ve won.

Every day at noon there is a main prize draw which starts at £500; the site publishes the winning postcode and if it's yours, you have 24 hours to claim your prize. If no-one claims the prize then it rolls over to the next day until it is claimed.

"the prize money is generated by advertising revenue on the site"

What’s the catch?

You might be wondering how they can give away money for free. Well all the prizes are 100% ad-funded. The ads, offers and surveys on the site pay for the prizes – a bit like ads in a free newspaper.

Chris Holbrook, the founder of the website, said the prize money is generated by advertising revenue on the site, which was itself generated by the traffic produced by users checking the draw to see if they had won. Holbrook told Reader’s Digest: "The fact you have to go back each day to check if you have won creates page impressions, and that drives revenue from the advertisers, which pays for the prizes."

Since its launch in 2011, they have given away £500,000 in prizes and have gained 1.8 million members. Chris says: “I created to drag the lottery industry into the internet age, where customers expect to participate free of charge. Not only has it grown into a successful business, but we are able to delight in the feedback we get from past winners in the comfort that we’ve never asked them to risk a penny.”

Yes, you have to check daily, but it takes one minute to check all the different prize draws. I can honestly say that it was an absolute dream... it came just after a very difficult Christmas, we had no spare cash. We were able to buy two annual passes for Chester Zoo and even squeezed in a night at Alton Towers to make our family just a little bit happier.

I won £150; I was so shocked! It was such a help as me and my partner are trying to save for our wedding! Can't believe all you have to do is check every day for free! - Hannah, Langley

I won! I Couldn't believe my luck when checking my postcode. I won an amazing £1,500 just by being a part of FPL. I was very sceptical to begin with as we all know no-one gives anything for nothing. This has been turned on its head and I have now recommended this to all my friends. You have to be in it to win it,. Thank you FPL. - Elizabeth, Halifax

Winning can make your day and Chris has shared several of his customers' stories with us, including emails sent by an 85-year-old man living alone following a stroke and the death of his wife who used his lottery win to buy presents for his young grandchildren; mums have sent him pictures of their toddlers riding trikes paid for by their winnings - some fans have even written poems about Chris and his lottery.

What if I win?

If you’re a winner you’ll see a ‘collect' button on the site. Money is paid safely via PayPal but if you haven’t got a PayPal account you will be guided to set one up to receive your money. They can also make alternative payment arrangements if you don’t want to sign up to PayPal.
