Five things people do to make money on Instagram
Instagram can be a goldmine for building wealth with thousands of people are already making a living from it. Here is a list of things you can do to join them.
Become an ambassador
You can make money on Instagram by becoming a brand ambassador. Although to do that, you’ll first need to attain the status of a micro-influencer ( which is someone with a minimum of 15k followers). A lot of people will attain this status by buying followers from the Stormlikes blog or gaining them organically (which takes more time).
Once you become an influencer, you will then need to reach out to brands to see if they are interested in working with you. Depending on the strength of your influence (the number of followers that you have), you might be able to secure deals in the region of hundreds or thousands of pounds.
The reality: According to the Financial Times, influencers with close to or over 100k followers charge brands $2,700 per ambassadorial post.
Become an affiliate marketer
If you’ve noticed that many of your IG followers like to use a certain product, you can make money off of them by affiliating yourself with a brand or retailer that sells such things. For example, let’s say a good percentage of your Instagram followers are sneakerheads. You can reach out to a sneakers retailer to become their affiliate marketer.
Once you find a brand willing to accept you into their affiliate program, you’ll then add their affiliate links to your Instagram posts so that each time someone buys their products through your affiliate link; you'll get a commission.
Pro tip: Check out the following Instagram affiliate networks to get your affiliate program ball rolling:
  • Awin
  • Shareasale
  • Impact
  • Rakuten
  • Amazon Associates
  • Clickbank
  • ShopStyle Collective, etc.
Becoming a digital retailer
People also make money on Instagram by selling physical and/or digital products. To start selling on Instagram, you will need to choose a niche (something to sell), research those that have been selling similar products, and work on getting your products infront of those interested in buying them.
Become an Instagram marketer
Some people make money on IG by simply by working as marketers for business account owners.
Their job?
They create content (photos and videos), curate content, engage with followers, track metrics, and build success-bound Instagram marketing campaigns that yield results.
If you are an Instagram-savvy person and have the time to help others handle their IG accounts, working as an Instagram marketer might be a line of work to consider pursuing.
Sell your photos
Almost every day, people sell tons of visual content on and off Instagram, including photos, memes, GIFs, videos, and lots more. To join them, simply follow the tips below.
