Creme egg fondue
Food writer Helen Best-Shaw’s Creme Egg fondue is a fun Easter pudding which uses up some Easter egg chocolate. Served with plenty of fresh fruit you can almost convince yourself that it is healthy
Despite the recent controversy about the change of chocolate, and regardless if you love them or hate them, Creme Eggs are a ubiquitous part of Easter and most families will have a few spare on hand.

Creme egg fondue

Serves 2 greedy people

  • 75ml double cream
  • 25g Easter egg chocolate—your choice of dark, milk, flavoured
  • 2 Cadbury Creme Eggs
  • 1 tbsp liqueur of choice (optional)
  • Mixed fruit for dipping—cut into bite sized pieces—strawberries, raspberries, grapes

Method

Place all the ingredients (not the fruit) into a small saucepan and gently heat, stirring all the time until the chocolate has melted and you have a rich chocolate sauce.
Transfer to a serving pan or bowl and serve with fresh fruit to dip into the fondue.
