Makes: 30 biscuits
Ingredients
- 125g butter
- 80g caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons condensed milk
- 150g self-raising flour
- 125g dark cooking chocolate, chopped
- Sifted icing sugar, for dusting
Recipe method
- Preheat the oven to 160°C/gas 3. Grease or line two baking trays with baking parchment or greaseproof paper.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until light and creamy. Add the condensed milk and mix well. Fold the flour and chocolate into the butter mixture.
- Drop half-tablespoons of the mixture onto the baking trays, allowing room for spreading. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the trays for three minutes, then carefully transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
- Lightly dust with icing sugar and store in airtight containers for up to four days.
