Cocktails and mocktails for New Year's parties

New year—or Hogmanay as we call it here in Scotland—is nearly here. Let's celebrate the old and let in the new with some superb cocktails.

Somehow during the year cocktails seem frivolous and a bit over the top, but at New Year they're just perfect. Pretty colours and frilly confections. Whether they are super sweet or quite sour, oh how delicious they are. Not everyone drinks at New Year, some of us can't and others simply don't want to. It can make New Year seem quite flat and that is where mocktails come in. All of the colour, flavour and extravagance of a cocktail, but without the alcohol.
