After a thrilling finale to Season 14 of the well-loved crime drama, there are plenty of questions that still need to be answered. Here is why we’re all set for an epic final season of Criminal Minds.

It must be a crazy feeling to say goodbye to a bunch of people you've been working with for years – the Game of Thrones cast will be feeling it right now, but so will the team behind one of the best crime series out there: Criminal Minds. They've just wrapped up the final season after 14 long years, and as a fan of the show since Season One I'm feeling pretty bummed about it.

Before we look ahead to Season 15 though, a quick reminder of where we got to in that last episode of season 14, for those of you who've forgotten. As usual, it brings together our favorite team of FBI agents: Rossi (Joe Mantegna), J.J. (A.J. Cook), Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), Alvez (Adam Rodriguez), Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Simmons (Daniel Henney) and Lewis (Aisha Tyler).

That last episode was called 'Truth or Dare'and it saw J.J. reveal a pretty shattering secret to save her life: that she's always loved Reid! With that bombshell – and Rossi and Krystall getting hitched – there was plenty to leave fans desperate for the next (and final) season to start. Me and hubby Pete are convinced it's going to get seriously messy, and we can't wait to see how everything turns out in the end.

My bet is that in Season 15 we're going to see a whole lot more on J.J. and Reid's relationship – but my other big hunch is that Shemar Moore will be back in his role as Derek Morgan, if only for one episode. Shemar recently tweeted using the phrase 'Baby girl' – a super-unsubtle reference to his Criminal Minds character. I know how much he loved playing Derek and I think we're going to see him again before the show wraps up for a final time.

So, Season 15 is now done, and will be hitting our screens later this year. But there's some more good news for those of us who seriously can't wait that long. The CBS team behind Criminal Minds have made a mobile game of the show, that lets you play as your favorite characters. I’ve tried it and it's awesome – you feel like you're a part of the BAU team and you have to work seriously hard to crack the cases. Download it today and give yourself something to keep busy with until the final season airs.
