Reader's Digest UK has launched its 'Grandfluencer' series with an intereview with online American sensation Baddiewinkle.
London, Tuesday 8th August, 2023 - Reader's Digest has launcehd its grandfluencer series, 'Under the Grandfluence', highlighting influencers over the age of 60, interviewing them on their style, motivation and what inspired them to become social media stars at an older age. They're proving that you can have fun and spread positivity, whatever your age.
The series begins with American internet personality Helen Vanwinkle, more commonly known as "Baddiewinkle", who went viral online at the age of 85 in 2016 and has over 3 million Instagram followers. Helen, currently working on a personal range of colourful canes, is known for her flamboyat and colourful style and fahsion, sense of humour and fighting age stereotypes with her uplifting videos and images.
Helen Vanwinkle said: "My great granddaughter, Kennedy, convinced me to take a picture for the internet. So, I did and.... iot just evolved from there and went viral". With her motto being "Stealing your man since 1928!", it's no surprise her profile exploded and her fun-loving image was embraced by celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Fergie, and brands like Sally beauty and Smirnoff.
