3 Scrumptious face scrub recipes

Facials, masks, scrubs and other treatments speed the process of shedding dead skin cells, known as exfoliation. Sloughing off dead cells exposes cleaner, smoother cells that lie just beneath the skin’s surface. Save money by  using items you already have at home.

Strawberry scrub

Strawberry Face Scrub

The face scrub:

Mash 5 or 6 strawberries, then mix in 1 tablespoon ground almonds and enough yogurt (about 2 tablespoons) for the mixture to be thick enough to apply.

Why strawberries?

Strawberries are rich in antioxidants, and other nutrients which can brighten your skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, fade blemishes and nourish your skin for that healthy glowing look.

Plain Yogurt contains a powerful nutrient that smoothens out rough skin, moisturises and nourishes. The zinc found in yogurt is beneficial in that it soothes inflammations caused by acne. Applying yogurt on skin regularly also noticeably diminishes dark spot, acne scars and brightens skin complexion.

Almonds are commonly used in cosmetics for their various qualities. They brighten up the skin, protect from UV rays, and even get to work on fine lines.
