Q. How much is a year’s subscription?

Delivery in the UK

The full price of an annual subscription to a UK postal address is £45.48 however this price can vary according to any promotions we run.

Delivery outside of the UK

If you are a Republic of Ireland resident the cost of a year’s subscription is €61.20 euros.

If you are a UK resident and would like to send a subscription to an address outside of the UK then please contact Customer Services on 0844 332 4994*.

Q. How do I pay for my subscription?

Subscriptions can be bought via debit or credit card online via our subscriptions page or by calling Customer Service on 0844 332 4884*. You can also set up a quarterly or annual direct debit by calling Customer Services.

If you decide to pay by debit or credit or by cheque your subscription will last 12 months and you will receive 12 issues in this period. When the subscription is due to lapse we will send you a reminder by post, email and/or by telephone depending on the contact details you have provided us. If you choose not to renew your subscription it will end after the 12th issue.

Q. When will my subscription start?

The subscription will start with the next available first copy and please allow up to 28 days from the time you place your order.

Q. Can I specify the date I wish the subscription to start?

It is possible to specify the start of a subscription if you are buying a gift subscription at Christmas. For all other subscriptions, you will receive the next available copy.

Q. What should I do if I haven’t received my copy?

If you don’t receive your copy please call Customer Services on 0330 333 2220*.

Q. How do I buy a subscription as a gift?

To buy a subscription as a gift please click here to order online and select the gift subscriptions option. Alternatively, you can call Customer Services on 0330 333 222 0*.

Q. I’m based overseas and would like to buy a subscription for a friend or relative in the UK. How do I do this?

If you are based outside of the UK and would like to buy a gift subscription please call Customer Services on 0844 332 4994*.

Q. I paid full price for my subscription but I see you are now offering a special price which is much lower? What can I do?

At Reader’s Digest, we run regular promotions to entice new customers to subscribe to Reader’s Digest. Unfortunately these promotions do not apply to existing subscribers, however, if you would like to discuss this further please contact our Customer Service team on 0844 332 4884*.

Q. How do I renew my subscription?

If you have purchased a new subscription by credit, debit card or cheque we will send you a reminder to renew your subscription towards the end of the 12 month period. If you do not reply then your subscription will end after the 12th issue.

If you have previously paid by Direct Debit we will continue to take payments this way until you advise us that you wish to change your payment method or cancel your subscription.

If you have previously paid by invoice your subscription automatically renews until you tell us otherwise and we will write to you with a renewal notice at the time of your 11th issue.

Q. I didn’t want to renew my subscription but you have taken a Direct Debit payment anyway, what should I do?

If you wish to cancel your subscription after we have taken a renewal payment please telephone Customer Services 0844 332 4884* and we will cancel the subscription. To ensure a refund you must contact us within 14 days of the payment being taken.

Q. I’ve forgotten to pay my subscription renewal, what happens now?

Please contact Customer Services on 0844 332 4884* as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you by the third month of your automatic renewal your new subscription will be cancelled.

Q. I have moved, how do I change my address for my subscription?

If your address has changed please telephone Customer Service team on 0330 333 2220* or email customer_services@readersdigest.co.uk and we will update your details immediately. If you contact us before or after the 18th of the month, it is likely that the next issue will have already been sent to your previous address.

Q. How do I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time, to do so please phone our Customer Services team on 0844 332 4884*.

Q. Can I buy the magazine in a shop?           

Yes, Reader’s Digest is available in most large newsagents such as WH Smith, WH Smith Travel (railway stations and airports), J Sainsburys, Eason (Republic of Ireland) and independent retailers.
