From our £1,000 Cash Prize Draw to Word Power and Beat the Cartoonist here’s some further information on entering our quizzes and competitions.




£1,000 Cash prize Draw

Q. If I register for the £1,000 Cash Prize Draw will my email address be used for marketing purposes?

Your email address is held by Reader’s Digest and not passed on to any third parties. We will use your address to contact you ourselves so we can let you know about our latest news and updates as and when it is appropriate to do so.

Q. I didn’t receive my daily code today via email, what should I do?

If you haven’t received your daily code, please check your spam or junk folder for emails from and if necessary, change your settings to allow mail from this email address to ensure your codes come through to your inbox in future.

Q. How do I change my email address for the £1,000 Cash Prize Draw?

To change your email address, please email Customer Services at with details of your existing and new email addresses and we will delete your current details. Deleting your current email address will take up to five working days and an email will be sent to you confirming that your account is going to be deleted.

You should then re-register with your new email address but please wait for your current address to be deleted before doing so.



Q. I’ve forgotten my log-in for WordPower, what shall I do?

If you have forgotten your WordPower log-in you should click on the link that says 'forgotten log-in'? You will then be asked to put in your email address and your log-in details will be sent to you.

Q. When is the WordPower draw pulled and how will I know if I’ve won?

The WordPower draw takes place around the 7th of each month and the winner will be notified by email.


£50 prize question

Q. I entered the £50 prize question in our Brain Teasers section of the magazine this month, but I haven’t heard if I’ve won?

The winner of the £50 RD Brain Teasers prize question is selected at random from all of the correct answers received at the end of that month. The winner is named in the next issue of the magazine and if you’ve won, we’ll contact you two days before that issue is published to send you your payment


Beat the Cartoonist

Q. I submitted a caption for the Beat the Cartoonist competition but haven’t heard anything, does that mean I haven’t won?

The winning caption of the Beat the Cartoonist competition is published in the next but one issue, so the winner of the November competition will be published in the January issue, and the winner of the December competition will be published in the February issue and so on. We will contact the winner before the relevant magazine is published to arrange payment.


100 word story competition

Q. I have entered the 100-Word Story Competition, how and when will I hear if I have won?

Entries for the 100-Word Story Competition will be accepted until midnight on 31 January 2014. The judging will take place shortly after and the winners will be notified in writing ahead of the publication of their story in the May 2014 issue.
