10 Flipping good pancake recipes
It’s that time of year again, we are approaching Shrove Tuesday, commonly known as Pancake Day, and so to help you get flipping in the kitchen, I’ve put together a list of ten delicious sweet and savoury pancakes!

1. Orkney pancakes

This old recipe for Orkney Pancakes would have used Beremeal in place of the oatmeal, but you have used medium oatmeal with superb results.
You need to start the batter off the night before you want to cook these pancakes, but that makes it so much easier on the Pancake Day!

2. Indian pancakes with spiced sweet potato

A different way to enjoy pancakes—hot and spicy rather than sweet! A special treat for Pancake Day in particular, and as curry is Britain’s number one takeaway, why not make some Indian inspired pancakes for Pancake Day supper!

3. Pancakes (crepes) with mascarpone cream & cranberry compote

Bánh Xeo is a street food favourite of many Vietnamese—it’s a light savoury crepe made with rice flour and coconut milk. It’s served with an abundance of salad leaves and herbs.
Everything should be prepped before the crepes are made so they can be eaten with your hands as soon as they are done.

7. Gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes

With Valentine’s Day being in the same week as Pancake Day this week, here’s a lovely recipe for some heart shaped pancakes; it’s very similar to the batter used for a traditional thin “crepe” like pancake the only change being a spoonful of sugar for extra sweetness!
