We've rounded up the best new beauty buys for the autumn months. From brightening dulled complexions, to eye shadow shades to delight your inner child, we've got you covered.

For thirsty skin: Clarins Everlasting Cushion Foundation, £31

With an impressive SPF 50, this new cushion take on the iconic Clarins Everlasting Foundation is the ultimate "your skin but better" product. With a beautifully natural and dewy finish, it leaves your skin looking as though it's glowing from the inside out. We'd particularly recommend it for naturally dry skin, as the formula smoothes and hydrates rather than clinging and drying.

The application is smooth and feels surprisingly moisturising with a pleasant scent and anti-pollution formula. The cushion's ideal compact design also means it's easy to take and top up on the go, perfect for autumn when central heating and rough winds can leave your skin in need of a little TLC.

For a dull complexion: The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask, £17

Great for city dwellers, this new mask from The Body Shop promises to revitalise a complexion dulled by pollution: and it certainly does. The formulation is so invigorating you can almost feel the dirt of the day lifting from your pores as the smell of Matcha Tea soothes and relaxes you.

As well as being kind on your skin, this mask is also 100 per cent vegan and made with community trade Aloe Vera from Mexico and hand-picked green tea leaves from Japan. Using the product twice a week left our skin feeling brighter and reinvigorated.

For book lovers: Storybook Cosmetics, £41

If you haven't heard of Storybook Cosmetics, you're in for a treat. The small company was set up by identical triplets, Erin, Mandy and Missy Maynard, who describe themselves as "three sisters who never stopped believing in fairytales."

Now the company is bringing one of our favourite childhood memories back to life with this adorable Charlie and the Chocolate Factory eyeshadow palette.

Made in collaboration with the Roald Dahl estate and designed to look like a copy of the book—complete with Quentin Blake's iconic illustrations—the palette contains a beautiful golden ticket and 12 delightful shades, which even smell like chocolate. Dreamy.

It's hard not to be charmed by shades like "Violet Beauregarde", "Golden Ticket" and "Snozberries" and their highly pigmented pops of colour are sure to brighten any dull autumn afternoon.

Best of all, the brand is cruelty-free, so no Oompa Loompas were harmed in the making of this fantastical palette.

For ageing skin: Kypris Moonlight Catalyst, £74

Smooth drops of this decadently packaged catalyst onto skin before bed and wake up to a plumper, revived complexion. Applying the delicately scented serum soothes and calms before bed, and leaves skin rejuvinated and ready for the day come morning.

Designed to support the body's natural overnight skin renewal process, Kyrpis's night serum uses 15 active ingredients to clean pores and infuse the skin with vital fatty acids.

We found the serum worked best combined with the Kyrpis Clearing Serum (£64) which tackled outbreaks and troublesome skin.

For the perfect winged eyeliner: Tarte Sex Kitten Liquid Liner, £15

We've tried our fair share of liquid liners in the years, all in the heady pursuit of mastering the perfect wings, and this Tarte liner comes up head and shoulders above the rest. The colour is so pigmented that just one coat is sufficient but the waterproof and smudge-proof formula means that with just two coats, it passed our 12-hour durability test with flying colours.

Designed in the felt-tip style, the easy grip and adorable kitty design have fast made this one of our can't-do-without products. As with all Tarte products, the liner is vegan and gentle enough on the skin for even the most sensitive eyes. What more could you ask for?
